A highly intriguing original antique document patent on vellum, circa George III (1738-1820). Set with original wax seal (AF), with attached ribbons and its accompanying antique circular box. Document relates to the Earl of Porchester for the counties of Dorset.


The Earl of Porchester has had many famous ties, most notably his decendant "Porchie", who was the late queen Elizabeth's closet companion. His grandfather, George Herbert, was the man to discover the tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun alongside the archaeologist Howard Carter.
