A beautiful antique original guoache on paper painting by Rubens Southey (b.1881 - d.1933) titled "Sunshine and Shadow - Dartmoor" dating to the late 19th / early 20th century. This painting shows a mountainous landscape dotted with wild flowers and punctuated with a babbling brook. Housed in a fine gilt frame and hand signed bottom right. Southey has a good auction history, with works fetching in the mid hundreds.
