White marble bust by William Calder Marshall. RA 1813-1894 Scottish Sculptor. Super quality marble bust of a beautiful woman who we believe recalls the central figure of his personification of agriculture, which is on display at the Albert Museum. Marshall was the most prominent sculptors of Victorian Britain and many of his larger works are displayed in London including the houses of parliament. The bust is signed on the verso. Very heavy bust, two person lift the bust is 24" tall and 18" wide. From a fabulous house in South Dublin.
