Vera Wang is an American fashion designer born in New York City in 1949. After working as an editor at Vogue and later as a design director for Ralph Lauren, she opened her first bridal boutique in New York in 1990. Wang became internationally celebrated for elegant, modern wedding gowns that combined traditional craftsmanship with contemporary styling. Her company later expanded into ready-to-wear fashion, jewellery, fragrances, homeware and accessories, establishing Vera Wang as one of the world’s best-known luxury bridal and lifestyle brands.
